EMA’s PMS FAQs Show Where Product Data Friction Still Exists

EMA’s Product Management Service FAQs, updated in January 2026, collect questions raised during PMS events and are intended to complement those sessions. EMA notes that the FAQs should not be treated as a binding commitment, but the document still shows where users are seeking clarification around product-data workflows.

That makes the FAQ useful for digital PV and regulatory-data teams. Operational friction does not always appear first in inspections or formal policy papers. It often appears in the repeated questions users keep asking about how the system actually works. That reading is an inference from the purpose of the FAQ document.

For teams working at the intersection of safety, product data, and digital operations, PMS is a reminder that system maturity is not just about platform availability. It is also about clarity of use.
